I'm an HIV+ guy who works in medicine, and I am desperately seeking others like me. I am having a great deal of difficulty with my shift-work schedule and the high stress level of my work. How do others cope? My health is declining because of work related stresses, and I am hoping somebody out there might have some advice on how I can stay healthy and asympomatic with my crazy job demands.

I have a stressful job as well. I do take the time to do yoga. You really have to do these kind of quality of life things or your immune system will suffer too much. I also eat salads and fruit a lot...so I'm not eating junk food. It's hard...but it's doable. I thought yoga was weird at first but it really gives me energy and solace. KJ

Hey! I'm a male regitered nurse in AZ. I work in a very busy level one emergency/trauma department. At first I was feeling really bad just knowing my status but I really love my job so I had to change a few things in my life. I work 3 twelve hour shifts at night so that was crazy enough. I now do yoga, meditate and eat ver healthy. I feel great even though I am on meds. I hope things work out for you. Email me if you like. jdelatorre65@yahoo.co j

Hi, Glad to see some postings from other healthcare workers. I too work in healthcare. I make sure I get enough sleep and schedule my life with fun in it. I want to get into exercise and stress reduction too but have not found the will power yet, but hearing others do it is great encouragement. email me if you would like to chat.
