HIV and Rapid Heart Beat? I've been having a more pronounced and rapid heartbeat since the day of exposure. So for 3 months now, my heart rate has been through the roof. And not only when I'm thinking about HIV, but even when I've just woken up, or totally have my mind on something else. Its been around 90-100 bpm and sometimes itll go back down to 70-80 but normally it beats FAST!!
Second, I've been having these awful aches in my neck and upper back for the passed few days.
Any ideas?
Thanks

You have anxiety. Go get tested. Then treat your anxiety. Sf

Yeah at first I thought it was anxiety but even when I'm having a great time, out with friends and not a care in the world, i can feel my heart PUMPING. Hopefully it is anxiety but I'm skeptical. I was way more stressed out 2 months after exposure. Ive calmed down so much and Im enjoying life right now. I thought the bpm would decrease but I guess not.

How can you say that you've been out with friends with 'not a care in the world' in the last 3 months? You have been obessing over a non-risk all this time. You just don't turn the anxiety you have created on and off.
Rapid heart beat is a common sign of anxiety and fear. You have made it very clear you are terrified over the thought of HIV.
It's been three months. Go get your test and collect your negative. If you still are having problems with your heart rate, then see a doctor about cadiovascular conditions that could be causing it.
As you have been told before HIV does NOT cause rapid heart rates.
