HIV in the workplace
Jan 28, 2000

What is the opinion of employees in reference to HIV in the workplace?

Do you think employees tend to be more sympathetic towards a co-worker that is infected with the disease if their employer provide them with awareness classes or information about the disease?

Response from Ms. Gabriel

The questions you answer are extremely important. So important, in fact, that the National AIDS Fund did a survey to answer them. To get the survey, go to their website: http://www.aidsfund.org

Here's information about the survey:

Employee Attitudes About AIDS, 1998—recent national survey explores the opinions of working Americans about how employees with AIDS should be treated by colleagues and employers. You'll find the results helpful in shaping effective AIDS policies and educational programs in your workplace.

Lynne Gabriel
