| Medi-Cal Disability No More? Nov 14, 2001 I read, in October of last year, that Medi-Cal was no longer going to require a low income HIV+ person be disabled to receive benefits. This was in response to a campaign by the Aids Healthcare Foundation. I haven't heard any more about this. What is the status? Has it been implemented? Thank you very much. |

Response from Mr. Berg
According to my lobbyist buddies, everything is on hold due to the financial impact of the energy crisis in California. Funding is tight, program cuts are being considered and expansion of Medi-Cal is not a priority at this time. | |||
