self-insured limits disclosure
Jun 2, 2001

If a company is self-insured and has limits on coverage for specific conditions, when during the hiring process are they obligated to disclose this information?

Response from Ms. Franzoi

No. However, you can request a copy of the summary plan description (SPD) for the health plan. Any limitations would be explained in the SPD.
