hiv and job
May 6, 2015

can i get a waiters job on cruise lines being hiv positive

Response from Mr. Chambers

Cruise lines can be difficult to work on when HIV+. Because the hiring and base of lines can vary dramatically and are not necessarily tied to where the go, there is no one clear answer. A search of the web will demonstrate that while it may be possible to work on some of the major lines, that's not true for all. You will find some horror stories, but there are also some who have had no problems.

Also, because the lines are responsible for the crew's medical care while at sea, some will try to avoid such hires, even if illegal.
