Infectious Disease & Visa Application
Sep 18, 2013

I am due to start work in an African country that requires a statement from a GP to say that I do not suffer from any infectious disease. If a Doctor were to issue a statement as such how would the country Embassy check to ensure this is true or would they take the letter, signed etc at face value?

Response from Mr. Chambers

The answer really depends on what country you are going to. This site will give you information. Scroll down to: "Restrictions on Traveling with HIV/AIDS" to see what is required/permitted by country.

Good luck, Jacques This site
