I'm in a panic! I just lost my COBRA and I took my last day of anti-viral meds yesterday! (Norvir, Reyataz &Truvada) I would like to try to by at least two week of medication until I (hopefully) get my health insurance straight. How much would two week of each medicine cost?
Response from Mr. Chambers
I wish there were a set price for medical services including medications. Even if you had given me the names of your medications and your location, I seriously doubt I would be able to pin down the cost.
Contact your doctor to see what he/she can provide as far as a partial prescription or even some samples. Ask your pharmacist how much two weeks would cost; many are willing to split a thirty day supply.
Meanwhile, get busy on getting your COBRA reinstated, if possible. Or, if your COBRA has run its course and expired, remember you have 63 days from when it ended to get a HIPAA guarantee issue plan.
Good luck, Jacques
