|shifting work schedule
Apr 20, 2013
Hi i just want to ask if working on a shifting schedule is possible or it would best to work on a regular day job since im taking my med efavirenz every 9pm. What will be the risk if i pursue working on a shifting schedule. Work schedule changes every week.

You need to confirm with your doctor how your medication would be affected by the changing schedules.
Regarding your ability to change to a day shift, it may be possible to obtain "reasonable accommodation" due to your medical condition under the Americans with Disabilities Act which affects employees of employers with 15 or more employees.
The issue with that is that the employer can require a statement from your doctor which will reveal your medical condition. While that isn't an issue with a large employer, it can be a problem in small groups. Good luck, Jacques
