| Co-pay cards and Medicare Aug 29, 2012 Do co-pay cards work with Medicare? I have never seen this to be true. They always seem to exclude anyone using medicare. I am asking this like a prior individual - I do not qualify for ADAP. But spending over $6000 plus a year on medications is getting harder and harder to do! Help I have a 4 drug combination: Insentress, Travada, Norivr and Aptvus. I have been HIV + since 1990 and on meds sine 1992. I have had full blown AIDS since 1994. I have spent tens of thousands for medications and medical care. It is getting harder and harder to all of this. Help me someone? |

Response from Mr. Chambers
Most assistance plans are needs based so they look at your income to determine eligibility. Since you don't qualify for ADAP, you may not find help with assistance plans. You are correct that the discount drug plans normally don't work with Medicare. You may want to look at the pharmaceutical manufacturers websites that make your medications to see what their requirements are for their patient assistant programs. It's really going to depend on your income. Good luck, Jacques | |||||||||
