| Medical Insurance Jun 14, 2012 I am moving to Georgia In August and I am afraid that I will not have any medical insurance when I get there. I live in Pittsburgh and use UPMC For You insurance along with medicaid. Any suggestions? |

You don't mention whether your UPMC coverage is individual or through a group. If it's a group, then COBRA may be helpful, but you will need to see what they offer if you move outside UPMC's service area. If it is individual, look or ask about any conversion privilege for moving out of the area. You mention you also have Medicaid. That probably means your UPMC coverage is individual. If that is not transferable or convertible to a plan that works in Georgia, then you may have to rely on Georgia's Medicaid program. You can find more information about it at this site. at this site.
