Ear piercing by piercing gun
Apr 21, 2012
We just pierced my daughter ears with the piercing gun in the mall and I start doing my research on the internet how take care of a new piercing and all the horror story starting to pop out about piercing gun spreading diseases like HIV, Hepatitis C, etc. I am very worried. I just want to know what is the probability that someone can be infected with HIV or/and Hepatitis through the piercing gun. And if there is any documentation that somebody was infected with HIV or/and Hepatitis through the piercing gun?
Response from Mr. Chambers
It, of course, depends on the hygiene of the person and place where you had the piercing done. Chances are extremely small. You may want to ask a doctor on this site, since I am the benefits specialist.
Good luck, Jacques
