| dialysis nurse with HIV Apr 17, 2012 i have a friend who have HIV and she is dialysis nurse, she allowed to work to do dialysis and those the company or hospital allowed this, what about the safety of the patients. |

Virtually all persons in healthcare practice universal precautions. In addition to protecting the provider in case the patient is HIV+, it also protects the patient. Assuming your friend, the nurse, practices this wearing gloves, using only sterile implements, etc., then the chance that a patient would catch HIV from her are really infinitesimal. | |||||||||
