| Fear She was misdiagnosed Nov 7, 2010 My friend originates from a Malaria invested country. She was diagnozed HIV while pregant. Her HIV strand was never established even after numerous tests. Her Obstetrician put her on meds just to be on the safe side. She has been asymptomatic ever since and undetectable all through. She fears another test would not reveal the truth since she has been on medication ever since and therefore has developed anti- bodies. Is there a conclusive test that can actually verify whether she is a case of misdiagnosis? - Her husband is negative. |

You don't indicate what tests were used to determine HIV status. By HIV strand, I assume you mean HIV viral load test was undetectable. What are the results of the HIV screening antibody and western blot tests? | |||||||||
