| STD Cobra Apr 2, 2009 My wife (full time employee) has been on medical disability since January and planning to return work in May with her current employer. She has just been asked to pay for COBRA while on disability. (The std payment would not cover the price of the COBRA payment.) Why is she giving COBRA when she is still employed as a full time employee?? |

There is probably a company policy that specifies that after a certain period of time during which no hours of service are rendered, health benefits cease. If that is the case, her only option would be COBRA. | ||||||||||
