Life Insurance for HIV+
Jun 30, 2008

I was diagnosed being positive in the early 90 and at the time I wasn't thinking about or trying to get life insurance however I'm trying now to get some outside of my job and I can't find any underwriter that would right a policy. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations?

Response from Ms. Franzoi

There are some insurance companies that were issuing policies on a guaranteed issue basis, i.e., without underwriting: 1. AARP through NY Life ($15,000) 2. Mutual of Omaha ($20,000) 3. Physisican's Life ($10,000) 4. Gerber Life ($3,000: $5,000 - $7,000 for individuals over 50 and under 70)
