| buying insurance after COBRA Feb 13, 2008 Background: I'm currently on COBRA, covering myself and my partner, and want to get my own insurance for the longer term. Your FAQ sensibly suggests that I "should do careful planning at this point and consider obtaining professional assistance." Question: What kind of professional assistance do you mean, and how do I identify the right source? (I'm in Manhattan, BTW). |

Response from Ms. Franzoi
If you have a pre-existing condition, the best thing to do would be to work with a local broker to help you acquire coverage. If you are determined to be a high risk, you only option might be a HIPAA policy. | |||||||||
