| Life Insurance For HIV/AIDS Jan 9, 2006 It is my understanding that Guarantee Trust of Glenview, Illinois no longer offers life insurance to those living with HIV. Indeed, their parameters were very strict and to get coverage under their plan was next to impossible. Accessible Life from Western-Southern Life was a great plan. Although not specifically designed for those living with HIV/AIDS, an agent in the Midwest successfully presented it to that demographic. Unfortunately, the underwriting company took steps to disqualify anyone with HIV/AIDS from getting coverage. Where there formerly were three qualifying questions, a fourth was added: Have you ever been diagnosed with HIV/AIDS? So what, if any, life insurance plan is available to those living with HIV/AIDS? |

Response from Ms. Franzoi
I think Physicisan's Mutual, Mutual of Omaha and, for AARP members only, NY Life offer coverage. | |||||||||
