individual coverage Nov 22, 2005 Why does HIPAA exclude those who were covered under individaul policies? I moved from California to Texas and have been trying to convert my California BCBS policy to a Texas policy but keep getting the run around. Now I find out that my individual policy does not entitleme to HIPAA protection. Any suggestions? |

 Under the statutory and regulatory provisions of HIPAA, it only applies to group health plans. I suggest you contact an insurance broker in Texas to find out what options might be available to you. | ||||||||
