|insurance plans for people who are HIV +
Oct 24, 2005
I am suddenly without health insurance and am not elgible for COBRA. What are my options when I make too much money to qualify for most assitance programs but still can't afford my medications? What options are there for me? What are some insurance companys (specifically in Georgia if you are aware) that will insure a hiv+ person and how long will it take for coverage to kick in? Thanks in advance!

If you are not eligible for COBRA but don't have a break in coverage of more than 63 days, you might be eligible for a HIPAA policy. Contact a local insurance broker, one who sells insurance for companies like Blue Cross or Blue Shield and ask him about applying for a HIPAA policy.
