Donating body to Medical Research
Feb 23, 2005

I am trying to find out if there is any Medical Research orginizations that you can donate your body to upon your death. I am a long term HIV male and would appreciate any information you could give on this subject. Thanks

Response from Ms. Breuer

Most body donations for medical research programs are run by hospitals that have research programs. You can learn which hospitals in your area have such donation programs simply by asking the ones that run research grants whether they also accept body donations. Then pick the one whose reputation is the best.

Thank you for your generous question, and congratulations on being "long term." May you live a lot longer.
