|No Insurance Help
May 29, 2004
Discover was made in 2000 that I was HIV positive currently my employer does not offer insurance. How can I obtain reasonable cost insurance and receive the proper care in the meantime?
| Response from Ms. Breuer
Several companies are writing insurance for HIV-positive individuals. Try these three: New York Life, Mutual of Omaha, and Physician's Life and Guarantee Trust Life Insurance. My colleague on this site, Lynn Franzoi, recommends that you contact an independent insurance broker to obtain quotes for you from these companies. Remember that an HIV test will be a routine part of the application process for any kind of insurance.
