Possible Insurance Fraud
Jul 3, 2003

I have been receiving group insurance coverage from Aetna through my last employer even though I have not worked in 3 years. ADAP pays my premiums and copayments and I recently received Medicare A & B through SS Disability. I don't want to lose the coverage from Aetna but I'm worried that I and/or my former employer may be commiting insurance fraud even though I was never layed off or fired. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you ~ Richard

Response from Ms. Franzoi

You should contact your employer to determine on what basis coverage is being offered. Some employers for employees who are disabled. You might be covered under the plan as a disabled former employee rather than as an active employee.
