on july 2001 i was diagnosed with hiv, i am under treatment and have health insurance thru my employer but i am trying to became self employed and so fa numerous health insurance companies are denaying coverage being hiv+, is there any company that you can think? i contacted the local aids organization and they do not know anything about it. please give me a direction! my viral load is almost undetectable and doing great!, please help me!

When you cease your current employment, you could get COBRA benefits from your employer. When your COBRA coverage ends, you could apply with any insurance carrier (such as Blue Cross or Blue Shield) that offers individual health policies. They would have to offer you coverage (a HIPAA policy, at a minimum) as long as you don't go without coverage for more than 63 days.
