| possible workplace infection? Mar 15, 2003 Dear Ms. Breuer- I work at a local grocery store and the other day I realized I had a papercut on my finger, because I noticed blood on my fingertip. I have a lot of contact with people's hands because of money exchange and although I didn't notice any contact with open sores on peoples hands, I also wasn't paying much attention either. Is that an issue to be worried about possibly contracting HIV or am I worrying over nothing. Thank you! |

Response from Ms. Breuer
Worrying over nothing. It's time to learn about transmission, though, because what you don't know presents a potential for infection. Please check out the transmission information at a reliable HIV website--like this one!--until you clearly understand why your work does not put you at risk. | |||||||||
