my ? someone at my job a grocery store. who works with a knife, and we all have nikes and cuts just found out he has hepatitis c and we are all concerned about. blood and it being spread to the rest of us...if you can please help so we can undertand how to work with him and not be infected also

Response from Ms. Breuer

There is very good information about hepatitis C at this website and on sites that TheBody.com is linked to. Look for "universal precautions" and "bloodborne pathogens" in your search. You will find exactly what you need to know about handling human blood in the workplace so that no one else is put at risk. Those topics will help you understand how to prevent the spread of hepatitis B and C as well as HIV. If you have any difficulty or cannot find what you need, please write back.
