positive service member
Jan 18, 2004

Nancy, What is your opinion on service members that are positive and should they be allowed to go to war? Considering they are retained in the service as long as they can do there job. Also do you think that positive service members should be medically retired? Thank you for your time, usmc

Response from Ms. Breuer

In one word, here's my opinion on whether HIV-positive military service members should either go to war or be medically retired: irrelevant. I don't set military policy, so all I can do is advise people who happen to be subject to it.

I can be much more helpful about civilian employment, but military policy is completely out of my realm.
