Response from Ms. Franzoi

I am unaware of any state disability program in Florida. I don't know if you are applying for disability benefits under an individual policy, a group policy or from Social Security? Regardless of which type of disability plan you are applying under, it is important to have your doctor work with you on the application for benefits. If you are denied benefits, follow the appeal procedures in your plan. It might be helpful to get some legal assistance with this.
