Response from Dr. Luzuriaga
An iron-fortified cow's milk based formula is generally recommended for full-term babies as a replacement for breast milk. Enfamil and Similac are two cow's milk-based formulas that are commonly available in the US but availability (and formula names) may vary with location. While iron-fortified and low iron formulas are both available, an iron-fortified formula should be given for proper growth and development of your baby. |
