| Is my baby ok Apr 2, 2005 I recently heard that my ex boyfriend was infected. I am not sure if it is true. I recently had a baby I was tested during my pregnancy and was negative when I was tested I had been broken up and had no sexual contact with him for at least a year. Could I still be positive? Could my baby since I breastfeed? |

Response from Dr. Luzuriaga
If you had a negative test during pregnancy and no other at risk contacts since, it is very unlikely that you are HIV positive and it would be safe to breastfeed. |
