Response from Dr. Sullivan
You should give serious consideration to seeing an HIV specialist physician; it is very likely that you are in the early phases of HIV infection; the HIV specialist physician will be able to assess the state of your infection by measuring CD4 T cells and viral RNA levels[viral load]; based on these results along with your clinical history he can advise you concerning treatment with antiretroviral therapies; HIV is a treatable[ there are close to two dozen drugs available for treatment] chronic illness; if you are under the care of a HIV specialist physician and are compliant with treatment recommendations you can expect to live a long, high quality life; JLS. |
