HELP IM PREGNANT
Nov 18, 2004

Hello

I found out i am pregnant and have decided to start medications. On checking my CD4 count is had dropped to 60, i have been ill for close to 3 months, no significant weight loss or diarhea, had thrush, loss of appetide and weakness. What will yo advice i do

Thank you very much

Response from Dr. Lee

Get on therapy as soon as possible. It should not only include antiretroviral (HIV) medicines, but medicines to protect you from the illnesses that are more common in people with low immune function. See a doctor who is familiar with HIV in pregnancy. Be well.
