My son was born hiv negative. Since birth Jan. 2003 he had sore throat at 5 weeks old, then he had ear infections off and on some lasted two months etc until Oct. 2003 when he had tubes put he. He then had one more, and hasn['t had any more since. He also was dianosed with thrush around three months which went away after treatment, but the ear infections did not with antibotics. He has had a couple of yeast infections on his butt usually after medicine. Since he had tubes he hasn't gotten sick as much as he was, it seemed like all the time but antibotics worked. he has gained weight fine he is 19 months old and weighs 29 pounds and since his first birthday hasn't been sick very much at all other then sometimes having a runny nose, he has developed excema now, but i have found when he doesn't drink milk he doesnt' break out, is it possible that he could have gotten hiv since birth and do you think i need to have him tested?
