Haven't seen a question like this
Jun 4, 2003

My question is how likely is it that I could have contracted HIV from a toothbrush of a man I don't know the HIV status of? Should I be tested? I am sooo worried right now! Thank you.

Response from Dr. Luzuriaga

Transmission is unlikely in household settings (including sharing toothbrushes, eating utensils, etc.).
