What is the difference between the use of AZT and ZDV during pregnancy? The New Mexico newsletter mentions AZT in treatment but the MMWR discusses the use of ZDV. What are the new/old protocols? Thank you

AZT, ZDV, and Retrovir are different names for the same drug. Recommendations for the use of antivirals during pregnancy can be accessed through the "Treatment Guidelines" section of this web site.
