SAME QUESTION, 3RD TIME...HELP!!!
Aug 8, 2002

At first my doctor thought I had Lupus. Had "confidential" testing and was diagnosed HIV+ in June 2002. My viral load was 5840 and my CD4 was 290. My doctor started me on Crixivan and Combivir right away. Prognosis please??? I am a 35 year old, single, African-American Mom of 3 young children. I am terrified! Only had 3 intimate, male partners my whole life. I informed them all immediately. All 3 told me their "anonymous"results came back negative. How is this possible???

Response from Dr. Sullivan

we have many very efffective medications for HIV; as long as you follow your HIV specialists recommendations and always take your medications religiously, you can live a long and high quality life; your partners may not have been honest with you about their HIV results; JLS.
