effects of viramune
Aug 8, 2002

what are the side effect viramune on babies and does it prevent aid/HIV completely?

Response from Dr. Sullivan

When Viramune is used to prevent mother to child transmission of HIV, a single dose to the mother and a single dose to the baby prevents the majority of infections occurring at the time of birth[ does not protect against transmission through breastmilk]; Viramune used this way is not associated with any known side effects; JLS.
