Response from Dr. Sullivan

Please try to make a return appointment with your HIV care provider to go over questions from your last visit. During these visits it is very common for patients to forget information they are given by the health care provider because of anxiety/stress associated with the visit. I think it can be very helpful if you write down the questions in advance of your visit and write next to the questions the take home message, i.e. viral load 1000 copies per milliliter. It could also be helpful if your partner is able to attend the visit and participate in the conversation with your care provider. i hope this information is helpful.JLS.
