i've been hiv+ for 20years 09/85 without being sick and never took any medication. i am looking for clinical trials in NJ or NYC what makes me so special.

T-cells use to be 800 to 1,200 from 1985 to 1998. From 1999 to 2005 my t-cells are 500 to 800 Viral Load 700 to 1200.

Why some individuals are able to control the virus for prolonged periods of time off medication is indeed of great interest. Your best bet would be to ask your care provider for a recommendation on a program near you. You might also wish to check with the programs at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital or Cornell. You can also look for currently enrolling trials sponsored by the U.S. government by clicking here, or by going to clinicaltrials.gov and searching for "HIV nonprogressor."
