HCG and Genotropin for Growth
Jan 19, 2000

I currently use 200 mg testosterone IM once a week and 200 mg deca-durabolin IM every other week. I've regained 35 pounds, 11 pounds of which are lean muscle mass, since last October, after losing the weight from a sudden onset of borderline diabetes. I also ingest l-glutamine and creatine on a regular basis to aid in the absorption of nutrients and increase muscle tissue size. In addition to a very healthy diet which I supplement with whey protein shakes, I have been lifting weights for the last few decades.

I have reached another plateau around 175 pounds and cannot seem to go beyond it. My body fat content is roughly 18.5%. I've been on the test and deca for about four and a half months. My energy levels are good. I'm not fatigued. Should I try cycling off the testosterone and replacing it with HCG? I've heard some promising things about genotropin and neutropin. Should I consider these next?

Response from Dr. Fisher

I've not had great success with HCG. Nor with cycling in general. I think testosterone deficiency needs steady replacement. Don't know much about genotropin or neutropin. Write back with more information if you get any. Alvan Fisher, M.D.
