HOW MUCH TIME LEFT
Apr 21, 1998

This is the second time I am asking this question since I didn't get a response the first time.

Please answer with an estimate from your experience.

-How much time would a person with 70 T-cells and who has been infected for 12 years would have to live, what would be the absolute maximum, five years from today or less?

Thank you

Response from Dr. Murphy

Dear Questioner,

There is no answer. It depends on your viral load and what medications you are taking and likely to take in the future.

It is not hopeless. Make sure you are receiving treatment from an experienced clinician.

Good luck.

RM
