Accessing treatment at HIV clinics
Dec 13, 1996
I was curious about how one would go about obtaining treatment at the Moore Clinic. The information provided in these Web pages gives a very clear idea of the treatments offered by the clinic. However, who is admitted to the clinic (do you have to have a certain CD4 level)? Do you need a physician's referral and certain types of insurance? What are the steps leading to admission?
Response from Dr. Cohen
Well, I shouldn't be advertising the services of my own clinic on this page, but since you asked. . .
. . .Anyone with HIV infection can get care at the Moore Clinic, regardless of CD4 count. We see people regardless of what kind of insurance they have, but you do need a physician's referral if your insurance plan requires it. For a new patient appointment, call 410-955-1169. (It also helps to live in the Baltimore area, or at least in the Mid-Atlantic.)
