 No. The advanced stages of syphilis don't look at all like the damage done by HIV. They can occur to the same person - they are both sexually transmitted. But people with advanced Syphilis don't get pneumocystis pneumonia and thrush, while people with untreated HIV commonly do. As one of many examples... This pseudo connection was written about at a time of our initial ignorance. If HIV were just syphilis, I'd buy stock in generic manufacturers of penicillin. But since it ain't, I would put your dollar to work somewhere else... | ||||||||
