|Plan to change IDV to Viracept with D4T and DDI
Mar 1, 2000
I am very appreciate you because you response my question before( CD4= 44, please suggest). In this situation, If I change Indinavir to nelfinavir in the combination of D4T and DDI,Can it work better.
Thank you very much.

There is not a lot of reason to think that either nelfinavir or indinavir is significantly "better" than the other. Nelfinavir can be taken twice a day, which is much more convenient and can be taken with food. The drug that will work best is the one you will never miss a dose of. That might make it better for you, particularly over the long term. It may also be easier to time with the ddI since you cannot take indinavir and ddI together, and both should be on an empty stomach.
