WHO IDENTIFIED AIDS FOR THE FIRST TIME AND WHEN WAS IT?
| Response from Dr. Cohen
If you are doing a report on HIV -- there are ways to do this. There is at least one great book about this aspect of HIV -- called And the Band Played On which is a journalist's review of all the work that went into finding HIV for the first time -- and when it all happened. There are also news stories you can read, and scientific review articles that you can find, that review this. Even textbooks. And the answer is not entirely straightforward -- there are controversies in the answer to your question. So you might even enjoy doing the reading.
So enjoy the search for the answer...
