Access of Viread in Germany
Feb 13, 2002
When will the anti-hiv drug Viread by Gilead Sciences be available in pharmacies in Germany? Can you give information on the Viread expanded access programm in Germany?
Response from Dr. Pavia
Viread (tenofovir) received approval from the European Union on February 7. This should mean it will be available in most European countries in the near future.
There is an expanded access program. The phone number for Europe is 33-1-44-90-34-46. More information may be available on the Gilead web site: http://www.gilead.com/wt/home
Hope this helps
