Response from Ms. Salisbury
Hi, There is no cure at this time for HIV infection. That is not to say there is not a lot of energy and money being put into a vaccine. Fuzeon is a class of HIV medicine all by itself. It prevents the virus from entering the T-cell and setting home making more HIV viruses. The benefits to Fuzeon is with people infected that have drug resistance to a lot of HIV meds. It can provide a bridge to help get a person's immune system back and prevent the virus from taking over the T-cells. I feel it is a good option for many people and side effects are usually only the injection site reactions. Hope this helps. Carol |
