Response from Ms. Salisbury
Hi, I can understand why injectable medications are difficult. There will be 2 new drug classes coming soon. Both are oral. One is in expanded access(this means your practitioner has to apply for its use through the company). It is an intergrase inhibitor-which stops the virus from integrating into the nucleus (center) of the T-cell. The second is a entry inhibitor which stops the virus from attaching to the T-cell. This is in phase 4 trials and probably you could enroll in the clinical trials if you meet the criteria. I think you should be able to substitute one or both for the Fuzeon in the near future. Take care. |
