| Year Into Fuzion treatment Sep 14, 2006 Carol, I have been taking Fuzion now for 13 mos, and the last two months have been using the biojet. I have yet to see an increase in cd4 count but have seen my viral load decrease to 50,000. Should I have seen an increase in cd4 by now? |

Response from Ms. Salisbury
Hi, CD4 increases are dependent on a number of factors. What was the starting CD4 count before Fusion? What was your lowest CD4 count in the past? Unfortunately CD4 increases depend also on the age of diagnosis, age of person too. Do not stop Fusion though. It is probably one of the only HIV meds that increase the CD4 count regardless of viral load sometimes in some people. Some CD4 rise more slowly than others too. Try not to stress over this, feeling more energy is important for your quality of life. There are 2 new drug classes close to release. Expanded access could get them sooner. Keep the faith. Carol |
