Meds
Dec 27, 2007

Hello Doctor: I am taking mi second regimen: AZT + Reyataz + ritonavir + Tenofovir.

I take tenofovir + AZT in the morniing and Reyataz + AZT + Ritonavir in the night. My doctor give me that esqueme.

But I am reading in Reyataz prospect that Reyataz + Ritonavir must be taken with Tenofovir all in one single dose.

What you can say to me?? I take meds as my doctor say to me, but I read that..

Thanks!!

Thank you for your posting.

Depending upon what you have previously failed and the resistance you have developed, the regimen you are on is certainly reasonable. The dosing schedule is also correct, with regards to the Reyataz given with ritonavir once per day, the truvada once per day and the AZT twice per day. Although the Truvada and Reyataz plus ritonavir are often given together, I do not think it should be a problem to take the truvada separate from the Reyataz and ritonavir. This is in contrast to the reyataz and ritonavir which do need to be given together. I would encourage you to share your concerns with your provider as he may be able to provide additional insight. In the interim, keep taking your medications as prescribed and make sure you are having your viral load followed closely.

Best, Eric
